Hi all, here's a little update from the Mocha Mondo team as the year comes to a close.

Royal Mail's advised last posting date for Christmas delivery is the 18th of December. Please place your order before mid-day on the 18th if you are ordering for Christmas.

​

Our opening times over the festive period are as follows:

 

The Roastery will close at 2pm on Friday the 22nd Dec and reopen on Tuesday the 2nd Jan. Please note, our online shop will still be open to place orders in this period but we will not be processing any orders until we are back on the 2nd.

 

Our Coffee Pod at Amble Harbour Village will be open every day except Christmas day. Come and see us for a warm cuppa and a chat over the festive period.

We had our biggest ever Black Friday sale in November with 30% off our range of coffees. A big thank you to all our customers, both new and old, for keeping us so busy. We recently released our new exceptional coffee, Finca El Arcangel.  First planted in 2015, in the lush green forest of Caranavi in Bolivia, with its first harvest in 2017.

The farm gets its name from an unusually large and majestic tree that sits at the highest point of the farm appearing to observe the land from up high, resembling the protector archangel. We paid homage to this story when designing the label for this coffee.⠀

The coffee was planted in such a way that leads to harmonious growth and harvesting practices. It is felt to be a place of great peace; an oasis that exudes beauty and tranquillity as if watched over by a divine presence.⠀

The coffee cherries are washed then anaerobically fermented in order to maintain the natural sweetness of the coffee. With a medium roast on the Aillio Bullet, we get notes of red currant jelly, walnuts and green grape with a sweet edge of manuka honey.

This coffee elicits flavours of green grape, blackcurrants and red berries with a creamy milk chocolate body.

We now offer the entire range of The Nut Roasters roasted nuts and nut butter products. These are an absolute must over the festive period for the Christmas party charcuterie board. Both the roasted nuts and nut butters pair perfectly with cheese, breads and fruit.

The Northumberland Fudge Companies Christmas fudge range has been going down a treat. Their range of booze infused fudge flavours and gift set has been especially popular. We only have a limited amount of stock left so don't delay in getting your hands on some.

 

Aillio have recently received their patent for the Infrared Bean Temperature sensor (IBTS) which is a fantastic piece of technology that provides the most accurate, real time data on the coffee beans as they are roasting.
