The Exceptional Range
From the heartland of coffee growing in Kenya, Nyeri, comes this superior Kenyan AA coffee. Kenyan AA is one of the world’s highest grades of coffee and as such this sumptuous, bright coffee is a fine example of these superior beans.
This coffee is not described as ‘organic’ but most coffee from Kenya is not. The coffee industry in Kenya is one of the better regulated, with high quality standards that do well without Fair Trade or Organic certifications.
A medium roast allows the natural brightness of this truly magnificent single origin coffee to shine through. Grown at high elevations on mountainsides of Kenya the Jungle Estate coffee gives a rich, strong flavour and lovely aroma of forest-fruits.
Smooth and bright with a long-finish, this delightful coffee is a treat for the tastebuds!
From the stunning mountainous regions of The Dominican Republic, this organically grown and hand-picked Arabica coffee bean is a similarly impressive product of this beautiful Island.
Situated in the Carribean with it’s decidedly tropical climate, The Dominican Republic is home to numerous national parks with an impressive range of flora and fauna – Described by Colombus in 1492 as “the most beautiful place that human eyes have seen”.
The coffee farmers in Jarabacoa are committed to maintaining a clean atmosphere through reforestation programs and also contribute to children’s education in the city of Jarabacoa by sponsoring school’s programs.
A medium-full roast delivers a delicious smooth and nutty taste with hints of cocoa. Floral aromas and a winey aftertaste complete this tantalising tango for your tastebuds!
The Peaberry coffee is particularly associated with Kenya and Tanzania. Kenya is well known for its highly organized network of coffee cooperatives. This system produces remarkable consistency in growing methods, milling, and auctioning across a web of about 150,000 growers, the majority of which are small-scale farmers. The topography of high-altitude plateaus in major Kenyan coffee regions combined with acidic soil provides excellent growing conditions for Arabica beans.
Simply described as ‘the champagne of coffee’, the Peaberry is the second highest graded coffee from Kenya. This oval shaped bean is the single occupant in the coffee cherry where usually 2 beans grow. This means the single peaberry bean gets twice the nutrients from its coffee plant and this gives it its unique and distinctive flavour.
This medium roasted Peaberry has a very pleasant dry note with hint of cinnamon. Great Breakfast Coffee !
