The COCAFCAL works locally to promote sustainability, reduce poverty & increase the standards of living - an example is the provision of free GP services for the employees & their families.
The high altitude and micro-climate from the cloud forest combines excellently to produce a smooth, slightly acidic coffee with a creamy, smoky finish.
The gentle extraction of caffeine from the bean using the Swiss Water Process means the only sacrifice is in the caffeine, not on taste! With a medium roast the flavours that emerged are chocolate & dried fruits merged with pralines & almonds.
